چکیده
A numerical study was performed for binary dispersed iron aerosols in air using different particle sizes with constant average size. The effects of size and density the two on flame structure speed are systematically investigated. Varying amount small big particles results separated overlapped fronts. For higher values ratio (ratio between particles) particles, fronts observed to overlap. mixture is compared mono-dispersed case difference analyzed ratios. addition a fraction found result substantial increase if large. Detailed analyses variation total fuel shows determines equivalence at which maximum occurs. as function move from lean rich side sufficiently large enough.

An analysis of sub-limit flame dynamics using opposite propagating flames in mesoscale channels
The excess enthalpy flames and their dynamics below the flammability limit are studied by considering two flames that propagate in opposite directions in parallel channels. The model enables the coupling between the external heat loss, convection preheating, diffusion transport and finite rate chemistry. Analytical expressions for the flame temperature, separation distance, and extinction limit...
متن کاملFlames in Type Ia Supernova: Deflagration-Detonation Transition in the Oxygen Burning Flame
The flame in a Type Ia supernova is a conglomerate structure which, depending on density, may involve separate regions of carbon, oxygen and silicon burning, all propagating in a self-similar, subsonic front. The separation between these three burning regions increases as the density declines until eventually, below about 2 × 10 g cm, only carbon burning remains active, the other two burning ph...
متن کاملPremixed flames propagating freely in tubes
This paper reports an experimental investigation of premixed propane and methane-air flames propagating freely in tubes 1.5 m long and with diameters 54 and 94 mm. Two regimes of propagation are distinguished by correlating the flame speed and the radius of curvature at the flame tip. The characteristic lengths are then related to the cut-off wavelengths estimated from linear theories and compa...
متن کاملEffect of the temperature difference between gas and organic dust on propagating spherical flames
A new analytical study performed to investigate the effect of the temperature difference between gas and particle in propagation of the spherical flames. The combustible system is containing uniformly distributed volatile fuel particles in an oxidizing gas (Air) mixture. The model includes evaporation of volatile matter of dust particles to known gaseous fuel (methane) and the single-stage reac...
متن کاملPhase segregation in binary SiO2/TiO2 and SiO2/Fe2O3 nanoparticle aerosols formed in a premixed flame
Binary SiO2/TiO2 and SiO2/Fe2O3 nanoparticle (diameter < 100 nm) aerosols of varying mole ratios of Ti or Fe to Si were generated in a premixed Bunsen-type aerosol flame reactor. The distribution of species within the particles was investigated using transmission electron microscopy, electron energy loss spectrometry, x-ray diffraction, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Phase segrega...
